1914 Mexico 50 Centavos Revolutionary Note – Saltillo Coahuila – Tesorería de la Federación
Offered for sale is an authentic 1914 Mexican Revolutionary–era paper note issued by the Tesorería de la Federación in Saltillo, Coahuila during the Mexican Revolution.
This 50 Centavos note was part of an emergency currency issue used to facilitate commerce during a period of political and economic instability. The note states it is backed by silver coinage (“en moneda de plata del cuño mexicano”) and designated as forced circulation throughout the state.
The front features a detailed eagle motif, while the reverse shows a local town and industrial scene, with the issuance date January 27, 1914 clearly printed.
This is a 1914 Mexican revolutionary issue from Saltillo, Coahuila, issued by the Tesorería de la Federación (Federal Treasury) during the Mexican Revolution.
