The company got more and more successful over the years, and won a global recognition where it's hats appeared in movies such as Casablanca (1942) with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, 8½ (1963) with Marcello Mastroianni and later in Borsalino (1970) with Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo, and more.
Armando Testa (1917–1992) was a pioneering Italian graphic designer, animator, and painter known for shaping modern advertising in Italy. After winning a poster contest in 1937, he moved fully into the creative field and founded Studio Armando Testa, which grew into one of Italy’s major advertising agencies. He produced memorable television ads for Carosello and created the official logo for the 1960 Summer Olympics. Testa also taught design in Turin and received several honors for his artistic contributions. From the mid-1980s, he shifted focus to painting and cultural poster work, cementing his legacy as a key figure in visual communication.
