You are looking at a TAG Heuer 980.006N men's 1000 Series Professional watch. This watch is rare and in high demand because it is the Jumbo version of the classic 1000 Series men's models. These models were made for a very short time. They are in high demand due to their 42mm case and vintage look. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 TAG Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This is a men's full size TAG watch with a case size of about 42mm (45mm including the crown). The crystal is in excellent condition with a few fine scratches. The back casing is in very good condition with light wear scratches. The bracelet is the original TAG stainless steel jubilee band. It is in very good condition with light scratches & mild stretch. The clasp is in good condition with light wear scratches. The bezel is in excellent condition with light scratches. The side casing is in very good condition with light wear scratches. The hands and hour markers look excellent. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 9 out of 10 in condition. These are hard to grade since you don't see many for sale. This is the nicest example of a 980.006 I have seen in a long time. Most are really beat up, but not this one. This one is ready to wear. The watch will fit up to a 7.85 inch wrist. If you need extra links I can sell you some at $85 per link. I have access to them from a local jewelry store. If you need the extra links just let me know immediately after purchase so I can invoice you for them. Check on link availability. It also has the wetsuit extension, which allows you to easily get it over your hand. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has the correct 955.114 ETA quartz movement. The 955.114 ETA movement was the correct movement for the 980.006 N version. All time and date functions work perfectly. It has always kept perfect time. My local watchmaker just serviced the watch & installed a new battery. It is ready to go another 30 years. I always recommend having the seals tested before wearing in water. I do not guarantee water resistance in a watch of this age.
