SKU: MSS-HOR-1475-RB01

Original vellum leaf from a late 15th-century Northern European Book of Hours or closely related devotional manuscript, dating to c.1475–1500.

The leaf is written in a compact Gothic textura bookhand in dark brown ink, with extensive red rubrication and alternating red and blue lombard initials, characteristic of professionally produced devotional manuscripts of the late medieval period. The script is highly regular and evenly spaced, reflecting workshop production rather than earlier monastic hands.

Such manuscripts were intended for personal devotional use, especially within Books of Hours, which were among the most widely owned and culturally significant books of the later Middle Ages.

The leaf is preserved as a single, unbound manuscript page and is suitable for framing, study, or inclusion in a reference collection of medieval devotional texts.

Dimensions: approximately 4¾ × 3½ inches.
