Large natural orange Mandarin (spessartite) garnet gemstone originating from Mozambique. This weighs 11.40 CTS and has been cut into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 14.3 x 10.7 x 7.2 mm.

There are other types of orange garnet, but there is only one spessartite garnet, considered to be the most valuable and desired of all orange garnets. These are sometimes referred to as orange Mandarin or Fanta Garnets.

stone has a phenomenal true orange color and has been polished to an exquisite sheen. This displays a nice shimmer and a visible luminous internal glow. As with all of our garnets, this is completely earth mined and untreated.

The gem is fully transparent and has excellent clarity. There is practically no flaws other than some very slight natural inclusions that are slightly visible, as best seen in the supplied video. This can be considered near eye clean or SI clarity.
