Vintage Hand Carved and Hand Painted German Street Scene 15.75" x 11.75" 

This is a wonderful folk art hand painted and hand carved wooden street scene in Germany.   

The image is titled "Mainz Kirschgarfen" . The best I can translate is that it says Main Cherry Gardens.    

The image itself is a wonderful street scene with flowers and great German architecture. You can see on a couple of the images that the image was carved or etched into the wood, and then it was painted. 

The edges of the wood are done with a scalloped edge. The wood is about .75" thick. On the back there is an inscription that says to Mom from Greg and Pam. 

If you are a collector, make sure you take a look. Perhaps you are looking for a great rustic artwork image for a German themed room or pub, this would be a nice addition to your collection.
