This is an original press photo. Thomas Jefferson home. Although Monticello was built in the heart of the countryside, Jefferson's genius brought to it many town comforts. He designed this ice house in such a way that enough ice could be stored in it during the winter to last throughout the summer months. Photo measures 9.5 x 7.75 inches. Photo is dated 03-30-1952.
