Small 19th Cent Cased 10ct Yellow Gold Carnelian Albertina
Watchchain Fob Seal
This is an antique fob seal that is estimated to
date meddle of the 19th century Georgian era; say 1840s through 1860s. It has
all the flamboyant elegance of the period, drawing on influences from Regency
design. It has a gold veneer
cover over a cast base metal (iron?). The gold is not marked but has
been tested to confirm 417 for its yellow fineness.
It is intended to wear as an albertina fob and has
a top ring to attach to a watch chain jump ring. Beneath this is a stirrup arch.
They sit above oval fluted dome set with a bright smooth polished, terracotta
red, piece of natural carnelian.

The seal is in good antique condition with no
issues, damage or faults, minor age wear to the prominent edges that show
through to the base metal, and a warm antique patina. The photos are part of

It is a very smart watch in good working order. Case
and bracelet have light wear un-polished scratches, crisp clean dial, glass has
