Designed and made in-house right here in North Carolina, our Talentcell wedges have been a big success and it got me thinking there's a lot of folks using Bioenno's, 18650's or other batteries (I've used AAA's myself in the past) that might want to take advantage of the great operating experience our wedges provide. We changed out the Talentcell carrier for a simple clip that locks the radio in. The radio sits at a 33 degree angle when deployed, making visibility and operating easy!
The optional "tinker wedges" are side covers that let you squeeze a little bit of stuff inside the wedge base, so you can drill holes in the faces for things like audio jacks, power jacks, or whatever else that will fit and put the electronic bits and wires inside. The tinker wedges lock into place once everything is installed. While I custom-made my sides shown in the picture, the blank side panels are easy to drill for whatever you can fit in there.
Angled Dimensions with the Radio and clip installed : approx. 3 1/2" tall, 4" wide, 4 3/8" deep.
Notes: The tray is designed for the standard (tr)usdx dimensions (60mmx30mmx90mm), it will not fit with the QRP Labs metal case. Radio not included (sorry to have to state the obvious!)
