This rare Royal Doulton Suzette figurine, model HN 1487, is an early issue piece from 1934. Hand-moulded and hand-painted with a glossy finish, this vintage Art Deco figurine features a floral pattern and is signed by FF. Made from high-quality porcelain in Staffordshire, this collectible item measures 19cm in height and 11cm in width. It is a unique decorative piece that captures the essence of English beauty from the early 20th century.

She has survived very well but does have some flaws; she has a flea bite chip on the bottom edge and crazing in the glaze, common with the figures of this age. It does look like there is a small crack in the edge of the skirt; however, I am not sure on this; it may be crazing but best to mention. Underneath there is shockingly not a crack from the hole, which is super common in figures from this era. Suzette is absolutely beautiful and the painting is superb; it’s a lovely chintz art deco effect. The colours on her scarf and bonnet are very bright, very decorative and very Art Deco. If she were perfect, I would have been asking £200+ as per Royal Doulton dealers’ prices. In this condition, I am asking £64.99 as it’s a superb example despite the flaws, very decorative and still cheaper than Royal Doulton Dealers asking £150+ for examples of this in similar condition with cracks etc.
