Traditional flat drive belting for stationary engines and workshop machinery. This is balata-impregnated woven cotton belt material, supplied by the metre and cut as one continuous length.

Correct belt type for vintage lathes, mills, saw benches, threshers, pumps and demonstration/heritage machinery where a smooth, steady, non-aggressive drive is required.

  • Construction: woven cotton with balata impregnation
  • Ply: 3-ply
  • Approx. thickness: ~4.5 mm
  • Supplied by the metre as one unbroken length (e.g., Qty 4 = 4 m)
  • Join using metal belt lacing, pin joint, or glued scarf joint

How to measure

Wrap a cord around the belt path including both pulleys. Measure the cord and round up to the nearest metre. Final tension is set when joining the belt.
