Harbor Freight's US General toolbox is a favorite among machinists, auto mechanics, back yard enthusiasts, and home mechanics because of their low price, yet decent quality. These boxes are so good that they have been rated time and time again the best bang for your dollar when it comes to tool storage. However, one of their biggest pitfalls and the biggest drawback with almost every tool storage system, including this one, is the fact that they have a tendency to move when you don't want them to, and that they are never level. With having over a dozen of the smaller 26 x 22 inch single bank roller cabinets in our machine shop, we decided to engineer and resolve this issue. 

These adapters are beautifully CNC machined in Southern California with American pride. They are constructed out of Kaiser 6061 T-651, aerospace grade Aluminum, and are held to the utmost of manufacturing quality standards. The 4 way caster wheel setup allows you to push your toolbox into tight areas that previously needed a floor jack or a 50 point turn lesson from Austin Powers.

They are designed to fit the knockoff style 60S leveling casters that feature a 8 sided polygon and a M12 x 1.75 stud. These will also fit other brands of leveling casters including but not limited to the Happybuy brand and can be purchased from Caster Headquarters for about $15 a wheel.

The leveling caster wheels are not included in the purchase; only the machined adapter plates and (4) M12 x 1.75 x 14mm bolts to attach them. You will reuse the existing hardware that US General includes with the toolbox to attach the adapter plates to the bottom of the box. These leveling casters also reduce the overall height of the box. Pictured are the original caster and fixed wheels that the toolbox comes with that this will replace. 

These casters are for the larger 42" tool cabinet and utilize a 70 x 85mm spacing for the attachment points onto the bottom of the box.
