Antique Italian Lava Stone Cameo Bracelet with Matching Brooch Gold Pinchbeck Grand Tour Era Napoli — Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, Correggio
Beautiful matched set composed of a multi-panel cameo bracelet and high-relief brooch, carved in lava stone from Naples, Italy. These were highly desirable souvenirs purchased during the 19th-century Grand Tour, showcasing some of Italy’s greatest Renaissance masters in wearable form.
The bracelet features six individually carved portraits, each one named on the reverse side:
• Correggio (2 cameos)
• Raffaello (Raphael)
• Buonarroti (Michelangelo)
• Tiziano (Titian)
• Da Vinci (Leonardo da Vinci)
All are set in gold pinchbeck frames linked together, and the bracelet features an original attached safety chain.
The brooch depicts a Bacchus-type figure crowned in grapes with deep, dramatic relief carving and an early C-clasp pin.
