LES ENFANTS DU CAPITAINE GRANT Voyage Autour du Monde par Jules Verne.  It is the Bibliotheque d'Education et de Recreation par J Hetzel et Cie version which was published probably around 1868 but no date of publication printed.  It features 172 illustrations by Riou, engraved by Pannemaker.  These versions of Jules Verne's work were part of a series entitled Voyages Extraordinaires couronnes par l'Academie Francaise.  

Bound in dark oxblood hardboards with blind stamped patterning to both boards, 4 raised bands, gilt panelling and lettering to the spine.  A few scuffs to the cloth and a damp stain to the bottom edge of the rear board.  Cream shot silk style endpapers and gilt page edges.  Light staining to the bottom edge of all the pages but lighter near the start getting more extensive to the pages near the back.  Binding tight.  624 pages.  28 x 18 cm.
