Description:
- It is a self- braking descender with integrated high efficiency pulley. Designed for rescue, rope access work and experienced users.
- For experienced workers used as a personal descender, the self-braking mechanism allows fast and precise positioning on rope. Easy and smooth ascending, thanks to one-way rotation pulley.
- When used on the anchor, fast shift between lowering and hauling. The integrated high efficiency pulley provides up to 88% efficiency on 1:1 hauling.
- The becket hole allows setting up different mechanical advantage system.
- The safety-gate on side plate helps the user to install/uninstall the rope without removing the RD2 from the harness and anchor.
- The ergonomic handle allows comfortable controlling and using on Twin Tension Rope Systems. - The hole in the handle for distance control cord connection.
- The unique frame structure allows RD2 to be used as a single one-way rotation pulley for change of direction on hauling. And a block pulley to add friction on lowering.
- No anti-panic function, for a better and smooth lowering on inclined surface and light weight loading.

Test Description:
- The angle between the free end rope of the descent device and the vertical direction is 10°.
- The angle between the dragging end rope and the vertical direction is 1°.
- The angle between the free end rope of the descent device and the dragging end rope is 9°.
- Due to the small deflection angle, the increase in drag force caused by the deflection angle of the tension gauge will no longer be calculated.
- During the testing process, the weight of the weights was calibrated, and the influence of the weight of the load cell and metal hook on the drag was considered, resulting in a correction of the drag force.

Test Conclusion:
- Through testing, the improvement efficiency of ASAT descent device under loads of 50kg, 75kg, 100kg, 150kg shows the following characteristics: the larger the load, the smaller the influencing factors, and the measured values are also accurate; The overall trend is that the larger the load, the higher the efficiency.

2) The average efficiency of 75kg is 88.2%
