Motor Run Capacitors are used in single-phase electric motors (and three-phase with single phase supply) to maintain the magnetic field and compensate the motors inductive loop. Motor Run Capacitors are designed for continuous duty, and are energized the entire time the motor in running, thus maintaining the magnetic field. They all vary in micro farads however all capacitors fit within a 10% range of their stated strength.
