"The poster for the exhibition Resurgence: Mark Maggiori Portraits of E. I. Couse’s Pueblo Photos shows Mark’s painting Buffalo Dancer featuring Antonio Lujan. In this image his face and hands are darkened as they would be for participation in the pueblo’s Buffalo Dance, which takes place on January 6 (alternating with the Deer Dance)."
