Hattie Carnegie, born Henrietta Kanengeiser, started her career working at Macy's in NY until she opened her own boutique in 1909 called "Carnegie-Ladies' Hatter". She legally changed her name to Hattie Carnegie and expanded her business to ready-to-wear clothing and jewelry. Hattie died in 1956, but her company lived on until it closed its doors in 1970.
Her jewelry is very whimsical, and collectable and these earrings are no exception. They are beautiful clip-on earrings that catch the light in every direction due to their shape. There is some honest wear on them that is expected.
