Keep your FT-891 remote head clean and free from dust, bugs and little fingers in your car, truck or jeep!  Snug fit for the FT-891 remote head in a mobile environment, this cover fits flush with the head while mounted or for storage.  An inside bump in front of the tuning knob keeps the front flush with the volume knob to limit the potential of damage from an inadvertent bump.

Designed and made in-house right here in North Carolina, we had a fellow ham reach out about a cover for the FT-891's in his F-150 and Jeep, specifically for the remoted head while mounted and also for storage. Our standard front protector is too deep for the mount, so we designed a specific cover just for the remote head that sits on the head securely, and ends flush with the back so it can remain on when mounted.  Special thanks to Greg AE4GW especially for all the great pictures!

Made with robust PETG plastic which provides some flexibility, good impact resistance and heat tolerance, the cover is designed to be tight on the sides with a little bit of room for the top buttons and whatever you call the lever that tightens the VFO knob on the bottom.  Please note while this cover will fit with the radio body attached to the head, the mic cord will get in the way of it going fully on the head.
