This beautiful comb is an excellent example of the Vauxhall glass accessories which were worn

 in the late Victorian or Edwardian period. 

Vauxhall glass mirror glass accessories were worn and sold in the infamous pleasure gardens

near London. They were favoured by rich visitors who feared that their precious jewels

might be stolen there.
