Rare 19th century Ottoman Empire/Turkish military combat shield. 43cm diameter domed metal shield, with hand engraved details to face, with four ornate fixing nipples, the reverse retaining flower patterned silk and cotton cloth backing, with tied cloth hand grips. Some light wear and age, generally very good.
