Hand-signed Autographed on Page 44 by Edmund D. Lewandowski (see pics).  Inscribed by Lewandowski in blue ink on 02/10/43 to his wife on Lewandowski's illustrated biography page.

This is a vintage, 1943, Limited Edition book (one of 5000 books published) by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. 

This book is the hardcover book of the 1943 Exhibition about American and Magic Realists.  The exhibition featured the following artists: 

Alexander, Audubon, Bingham, Cole, Eakins, Field, Goodwin, Harnett, Hicks, Homer, Kensett, Mount, Peale, Watrous, Hopper, Sheeler, Albright, Atherton, Blume, Buller, Cadmus, Carter, Cartier, French, Guglielmi, Harari, Helder, Hurd, Kupferman, Lewandowski, Lozowick, Lux, Papsdorf, Rain, Rothschild, Santo, Shahn, Suba, Sullivan, Wengenroth, Wyeth, and Zsissly.

The book has illustrated biographies of the realist artists.

On the illustrated biography of Edmund D. Lewandowski, there is an ink autograph by Lewandowski, who inscribed it to his dearest wife. This copy of the book must -- therefore -- have belonged to them.
