• These are overlay hinges not inset hinges. There is a big difference so please know what you are buying.
• Overlay means your cabinet door "overlays" (or overlaps) the cabinet frame and thus the door is perfectly flat on both front and back.
• A type of overlay is a Variable Overlay, these only come in a face mount.
• These are called Variable Overlay because your door does not have to overlap your frame by a set dimension (such as 1/2in. or so).
