The Vintage Eli Lilly & Co. Poison Diamond Antiseptic Bottle/Jar is a rare and collectible piece from the early 20th century. Manufactured before 1930, this apothecary medicine container showcases the intricate design and craftsmanship of the era. The distinctive Poison Diamond label adds to its historical significance, making it a valuable addition to any collection of vintage medical artifacts.

This piece specifically came from a gentleman’s personal collection by the name of John Burkhart. He owned Burkhart Pharmacy in South Bend, In. from 1959-1969 with his wife. In 1969 they moved further south and the former Hans-Bergman Pharmacy became Hans-Burkhart Pharmacy. They operated that business until 1992. They were an anchor of the south side for 33 years serving the community and creating a family atmosphere for patrons and relatives alike. After closing their doors in March of 1992, John continued to serve as a pharmacist at Osco and K-mart until retiring in 2007 at the age of 83.
