HUGE 17TH CENTURY ENGLISH  SILK AND STUMPWORK PANEL/ HANGING.

Huge highly detailed, and very finely worked 17th century silk and stump work on silk damask panel.

Has been previously hung as their are tiny brass loops on the backing section.

For conservation  or use as a documentary textile. 

The margins on their original silk backing. 

The central panels  cut out and laid onto silk damask in antiquity.

Would look wonderful as is framed and glazed, however the embroideries themselves could be removed and rebacked as many are in fair condition. The borders could also be reused and they are plentiful as are the motifs of parrots, deer, floral and fauna
