Designed and made in-house right here in North Carolina, this winder features 2 coax clips on the top face sized for RG-8X and meant to keep the radio end of the coax in place, while you unwind/operate/rewind whatever length you need with ease, so you can let out just as much as you need and connect to the radio without having to unspool it all.

COAX NOT INCLUDED

Side coax clips on the edge secure the other end when it's wound up so it doesn't turn into a tangled mess in your bag.  You can simply use your finger in the center hole to wind and unwind, and the included handle simply inserts into the center hole to make it even easier to wind.  Great for winding other things too like LMR200 (or even long extension cords), though the clips are specifically sized for RG-8X coax.  (Side note: I've noticed some slight variability in the diameters of different batches of RG-8X,  even from DX Engineering batch to batch so the clips have been sized to the thickest coax I have from DX Engineering).

👉ABOUT THE OPTIONAL HANDLE CLIPS: We've had a couple folks reach out to see if we could come up with a way to secure the handle to the winder when not in use (like in a backpack), so we developed an optional set of clips that snap into the bottom side of the winder.  These are easy to install or remove, and can stay in place when winding or unwinding without getting in the way.
