The bulk of the collection originates from the archives of "What's On in London", a now closed public relations office that once chronicled the pulse of the city’s entertainment scene.

• The Story:

My company was personally tasked in 2008 to clear completely the closed office for the landlord. Lock stock and barrel. 

These invaluable items were destined for the landfill or incinerator, written off as mere waste. 

However, as a passionate collector and a lover of music and celebrity memorabilia myself, I saw their true worth. 

I was tasked with clearing out the office’s inventory and, seeing the potential in these items, I rescued them from destruction. Moving them to boxed, dry secure storage

• Provenance:

This collection is enriched by the legacy of two of the UK's most esteemed photograph dealers — Ray Johnson from RockPics and Colin McCabe from London who were the leading photographs dealers . 

Both were stalwarts of the UK record fair scene in the 1990s and 2000s, and I had the privilege of acquiring their entire stock when they retired. 

This means the collection you see here is not just vast but curated by experts who knew the industry inside out & had their own London contacts for promo stock.

Stored securely and in excellent condition for over a decade, these items have been waiting for the right moment to be rediscovered. 

My initial plan was to sell them individually on eBay, but life had other plans.
