The ultimate QRP grab and go kit for the QRP Labs QMX or QCX mini!  Provides an angled base for the radio that integrates a Talentcell 3000ma battery (model YB1203000-USB, not included) into a single secure package to take to the field.  Optional "tinker wedges" let you take advantage of the space inside the wedge base, sliding in and locking from both sides to add capabilities to your system.  See more detail below...

Designed and made in-house right here in North Carolina, this carrier lets you integrate both the radio and the Talentcell 3000ma in one streamlined package ready for operating in the field or in the shack.  The radio sits at a 33 degree angle when deployed, making visibility and operating easy!  The Talentcell slides into the holder and locks in on the back to secure the radio in place, so it's easy to pack and unpack as a ready-to-go unit for the field.

I've been using the Talentcell 3000ma with my (tr)usdx and FX-4CR and came up with an idea to integrate this battery and my radios in a ready-to-operate wedge (check out our (tr)usdx and FX-4CR wedges), which of course prompted the QMX crowd to ask for one too...so here it is!  Special thanks to KO4APF as the first requester to actually have a QMX in hand to validate the design and get some great pictures for this listing.

The "tinker wedges" are side covers that let you squeeze a little bit of stuff inside the wedge base, so you can drill holes in the faces for things like audio jacks, power jacks, or whatever else that will fit and put the electronic bits and wires inside (or just make the sides of the wedge look clean).  The tinker wedges lock into place once everything is installed.  While I custom-made my sides shown in the picture, the blank side panels are easy to drill for whatever you can fit in there.  If you want custom tinker wedges like I have (with holes and labels), please message us and we'll put together a custom quote for you.

👉Note: this wedge is designed to fit the radio only, it will NOT FIT with rubber feet or rails on the radio!
