Magnets are very strong and will securely hold to your attire.  One magnet is adhered to the jewel and another is supplied to hold in place - magnets on both sides of the fabric.  Place fabric between the jeweled magnet and the back magnet.  No need for fumbling with pins or damaging your cherished attire!
