“New England Dock," a color silkscreen print created in 1942 by American artist Julian Clarence Levi (1900-1982).
The artwork shows a workman by anchors with a view of the docks. It is signed in the print.
"New England Dock" is part a collection at the National Gallery of Art.
Julian Levi studied with Arthur Charles and Henry McCarter at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His style progressed from Cubist abstraction to realism with a touch of Surrealism; the sea was his preferred subject.
