We offer for your consideration this Antique "Elgin" W.M. Wheeler  pocket watch. This pocket watch is operational (But Needs Cleaning) This is an Antique early 1900s open face pocket watch. It is Swiss and made by MOERI'S PATENT Pocket Watch Caliber 19. This was Fritz Moeri's offering for an every mans pocket watch.  This one was a step up with the silver case. This case is 0.935 Silver and carries a few Swiss silver hallmarks (standing Bears). The hallmarks can be found on the bail, crown winding barrel, inner dust cover, and the inner side of the outer cover the watch case measures approximately 48mm in diameter/ 14mm in thickness, front to back. The case is "Swiss Silver, silver in color and is in good condition. The back is a hinged snap set.  The crystal has a beveled edge, flat top, and in ok condition. This watch is a pin set, and has a nice gold washed crown. There looks to have been an impact at the 9 O'clock position, so there is clamshell shape fracture in the crystal and two tiny dimples on the case edge (See pictures) But the rest of the crystal is clear and there are no scratches.  The case has a nice thick unadorned radius shoulder. The  case back has a cross hatched Morae pattern with a small shield at the center    The dial of this watch is white porcelain, Flush seconds dial, with large medium line weight roman numerals marking the 12 hours. Along the outside the minutes are shown as ticks in a double track with Diamond shapes at 12,3,6, & 9 o'clock positions. The dial is a clean white porcelain and in very good condition The hands are spade style, gold toned steel. The sweep seconds hand has its own dial and is plain in style. After an estimated  100 years, this watch still works !, but it has been stored for many years and will benefit from a cleaning.
