Vintage Chinese Blue Silk Damask Embroidered Peony Flower Roundel Shirt Top

This vintage Chinese blue silk damask embroidered peony flower roundel shirt top dates from the 1920s. It is made of a bright royal blue color silk damask weave fabric with a woven floral pattern and a multicolored raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery peony flower roundel medallion design on the front. This beautiful blue Chinese sleeveless shirt pajama top has a long loose fitting style with a V front neckline, black silk piping trim edging, a knotted toggle closure on the back, is fully lined in blue silk and has a "Trade Mark Made in China" label sewn inside. The top measures 26 inches long, with a 42 inch chest, 42 inch waist and 14 inch back. It is in good condition, with only tiny frayed seam under one arm. This is truly a wonderful piece of Chinese wearable art!
