Presented here for your consideration is this Vintage Eric Rubinstein Circa 2002 Seascape Art Glass Vase featuring glass in relief and Gold Foil integrated into a cased glass vase. I have shown from all sides and tried to capture the relief glass surrounding the whole Vessel. The Colors are magnificent. One of a Kind piece. The dark glass appears to be a dark green and the Foil and Colorful mixes of multi-color glass makes this a very impressive statement piece! Weighs 5 1/2 lbs.
About the artist:
Eric Rubinstein was born 1956 and raised in New York City. He won the 2004 Niche Award in the Category of Blown Glass. In 2005 he was an artist in resident at The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass. In his own words; "I am fascinated by the inherent properties and characteristics of Glass. The variations and combinations of colors allow infinite possibilities. the ability to permanently suspend imagery and objects within the walls of a vessel is magical." ref: Art in Embassies.
His Vessels are inspired by Marine life and sell upwards of $6000.
Condition: Very Fine condition. There is a diagonal linear indented line shown inside the large blue relief circle and is smooth not a crack. It could be an internal heat check done during the making of this piece and is not considered a flaw.
