With a publisher's slip inserted to the title page explaining that the book was published in 1971 due to production delays. 

Carefully selected by fellow bibliographer Percy H. Muir, this work contains a fascinating series of papers on the history of printing and typefounding.
Johnson was an English academic librarian, bibliographer and specialist in typography, who worked as a Deputy Keeper of Printed Books at the British Museum. Essays include 'The Classification of Gothic Types', 'Some French Bible Illustrations in the Sixteenth Century' and 'English Books Printed Abroad'.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is smart with sunning to the spine, slight handling marks, and a closed tear to the front and to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with spotting to the fore edge.
