Karl Friedrich Würthle (1820-1902) and Gregor Baldi (1814-1878) opened their first studio in Salzburg in 1862.By 1872, they were operating separate studios with Würthle continuing under the joint name following Baldi’s death.In 1881, Würthle partnered with his brother-in-law Hermann Spinnhirn to form Würthle & Spinhirn until 1892 when it became Würthle & Son until 1904.
