Care and Cleaning:

Using a lint roller to remove dust is a fast effective method. You can wash this piece by hand in cold water or on a gentle cycle in a machine. We recommend doing so inside an enclosable pillowcase or netted bag to avoid any potential damage from machine agitators to the threads and binding. Hanging the work in direct sunlight near a window or outdoors over a long period of time can fade the color.

Pressing

You can press this piece to improve how it drapes on the wall because it will be folded in shipping. You can also use a steamer while it’s hanging.  (IMPORTANT) Iron the piece on the BACK of the work. We recommend a medium high heat setting on the iron. We find in a short period of time without using either method, they will drape nicely on their own in a humid environment.

Hanging:

A hanging rod is not included. A rod pocket has been sewn (on the back) for hanging. Some of these are already sewn closed. In the case where the rod pocket is not closed on your piece - we have included several safety pins to enclose the rod pocket to the size of the rod you choose to hang it on. Use any type of hanging rod to match the surrounding decor. It can also be hung with very small finishing nails directly to the wall, framed behind glass, adhered to a commercial canvas or canvas frame.
