My husband is extremely talented in woodworking. This gorgeous duck was carved from a cedar fence post gathered on a Texas farm. The fence posts are approximately 100 years old. This beautiful carving is 11" long, 4" wide, and 3" high. Each cedar post is unique. Depending on what the elements have done to it, it produces its own unique shape. Therefore, when the ducks are carved, no 2 ducks are exactly the same. This duck, and all of his creations, have never been owned by anyone else. This one still has the barbed wire attached to it. They are truly one of a kind. Each duck will have his signature on the bottom.

Early settlers staked out their land by planting cedar fence posts around their property. The posts were strung with barbed wire to contain the cattle. My husband personally gathered each and every post.
