Step back into 1950s Savile Row–era elegance with this Aquascutum pure lambswool overcoat, bespoke-ordered through the prestigious Kendal Milne “Man’s Shop” of Manchester.
Date-stamped 02 | 1 | 57 on the internal tailor’s ticket, confirming a 1 February 1957 completion.
Carries Aquascutum’s Royal Warrant to H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother—a crest used before her death in 2002, and printed in a 1950s font style.
Made in England, Regent Street, London W.1. then shipped north to Kendal Milne, Manchester’s luxury department store (est. 1836, later House of Fraser).
Cut from 100 % pure lambswool in a rich camel hue: naturally warm, soft and drapey.
Classic single-breasted silhouette: three-button front, notched lapels, flap pockets, turn-up cuffs and deep rear vent.
Lined in lustrous gold satin; all labels and stitching remain intact.
Pure lambswool—dry-clean only. Vintage fabric is sound but best kept away from rain until treated with modern protector. Store on broad wooden hanger to maintain shoulder shape.
