A must-have for enthusiasts, the M Claudel label will reissue the classic Black Album from the analog era. Of course, it is recorded from a tape source instead of a needle drop, and the sound quality is much better than the previous version. Many people will be nostalgic for this arrangement of songs.
The content is from the Get Back session in January 1969, and it is the best of the long session. It is an album that has long been famous as a masterpiece because it condenses the essence of the Get Back session together with SWEET APPLE TRAX.
John's lazy singing of "House of the Rising Sun" and "Honey Hush", which Paul later officially recorded, are also included here in John's vocal version.
What's interesting is the energetic "Get Back" hard arrangement version, where John takes the main vocal. The tempo is also much faster than the released version, and John makes a mistake in the middle, but Ringo matches it well and the performance continues without interruption. Speaking of "Get Back," "No Pakistanis," an unofficial recording with controversial lyrics, is also included.
The session for the century's masterpiece "Let It Be" is also very interesting, with Paul giving instructions to each member while playing the piano, and leading the performance while saying chords.
"Be Bop A Lula" is played very slowly, and Paul sings in a deliberately low voice, which is interesting. "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window," which begins with a German count, "Ein zwei drei...," is sung in a playful manner by John, and Paul, influenced by John's sung playful manner, follows.
"I Me Mine" is a well-known George song, and Paul is recorded practicing it seriously over and over again. He sings it without lyrics, but with a la ... It's exactly as George had sarcastically described it in the lyrics, so it makes you laugh.
"Too Bad About Sorrow" is not the version sung by Paul that we often hear, but the version sung by John... but he soon stops playing it, perhaps because he got tired of it.
And so on, it's the best of the Get Back sessions, and perhaps because it's well edited, the listener doesn't get bored. The excellent content, which compiles the highlights from the vast amount of remaining tapes, is truly tasteful and worthy of the name of a masterpiece. A permanently preserved, solidly pressed version.
