A 4 7/8 inch tall amber-colored cylinder-shaped antique Tincture of OPIUM Deodorized medicine bottle.  This bottle was found in the basement of the old FULLER DRUG Co., in ANACONDA, MONTANA.  This bottle is both EMBOSSED on the base and has the ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL on it.  This bottle was put up by E. R. SQUIBB & SONS, an early day pharmaceutical company out of Brooklyn New York.  The label shows that it contained OPIUM as seen in pictures and goes on to list opium in at least 5 different places on the label!?  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the 1800's era, an OLD BOTTLE!

  • Bottle embossed on base: "E. R. S. & S." = E.R. Squibb & Sons.  

  • Condition:   This bottle is in excellent clean condition.  It has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  PLEASE see pictures to get a good idea of bottle and labels' overall appearance and condition. 

  • Age:  An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand blown-into-mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. 1800s era.

This is a super nice example, super clean, and a very rare bottle with the Tincture of OPIUM Deodorized printing across the label.  As mentioned, the label shows that it contained OPIUM and lists OPIUM in at least 5 different locations on the label!?  A nice bottle to be sure and one in which the base embossing matches the information on the paper label, showing that they both originated together, check it out!
