Hanlon said Friday he has smoked marijuana in the line of duty and added that the use of week is far less harmful to health than drinking alcohol. Dr. Hanlon said his opinion holds up "when you realize very high proportion of people who are alcoholics; when you realize that alcohol is involved in over 50 per cent of vehicular accidents and deaths; when you realize the number of people who commit crimes of violence under the influence of alcohol."
