Pottery Vase with Classical Scenes and English Sterling Lip Ring, 4 ½ inches high, marked on bottom “664, 2” impressed, and “22” painted, the Sterling ring is marked “HS” for the maker, and with English hallmarks for the date, the Lion Passant, and the city of London, the date is hard to read but is probably from 1910, the sterling ring has a couple of tiny dings and a small indentation, the green glaze of the vase has some areas where it is lighter as well as some age spotting, the decals have some age crazing, there is a line of gold leaf along the bottom of the decals where there is an area where the brush made a line through the green glaze, it looks like a crack but is just showing the pottery underneath, there is some discoloration to the bottom lip of the vase, an small but interesting vase with 2 separate classical scenes, one shows a market place with flowers and vegetable sellers, the other takes place on a patio with a woman and child brings a platter of fruit to a man sitting at a table, nice shelf piece.US shipping via USPS Ground Advantage.
