Here is a collection of writings on military topics by the "George Washington" of China, Mao Tse-Tung. 

Included are essays and speeches during a 19 year period from 1930 to 1949, the year of China's PLA victory.

It is difficult to overstate how important this collection is for understanding the military philosophy that guides the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) to this day.  Furthermore, these Mao writings have guided National Liberation Parties and movements in the 20th and now the 21st Centuries around the world.  The war in Vietnam, for instance, was conducted according to Mao's military philosophy, which also was the philosophy of Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh.

American political and military leaders should read this work before they seriously consider future military actions with China as an adversary.
