Description
The Milwaukee Road was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States from 1847 until its merger into the Soo Line Railroad in 1986. It also provided commuter services in the greater Chicago area. This railroad operated a number of famous "named" trains, many of which bore the name "Hiawatha", to include the Morning Hiawatha, Midwest Hiawatha, Olympian Hiawatha, Twin Cities Hiawatha, Columbian, Fast Mail, the Sioux, and the Pioneer Limited.
Passengers on the Milwaukee's passenger trains had the option to pre-pay for meals, at a discount to the menu prices. For auction is a LOT of 3 Agent's Stubs for Breakfast, Luncheon and Dinner. Each bears the Agent's stamp on the back side (February 25, 1960 for breakfast; February 22, 1960 for luncheon; and February 4, 1960 for dinner).
Each stub measures appx 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches and is printed on ticket-stock paper. All are in excellent condition with no rips or tears; the agent's stamp on the back is the only marking or writing.
A neat collectible item for any Milwaukee railfan.
