Natural color shifting Kunzite gemstone originating from Afghanistan. This weighs 12.00 CTS and has been cut and faceted into a classic emerald shape. The measurements are approximately 13.7 x 10.0 x 9.5 mm.

The stone has noticeable pleochroism effect which causes different colors to be shown depending on the angle in which viewed or in certain lighting conditions. This particular piece exhibits a color shift from colorless to a green /blue. This optical effect is best seen in the supplied video. Some may consider this a color changing gem, although a true color change is usually more pronounced in it's contrast. Other attractive optical properties are visible such as a strong shimmer and sheen.

The gem is fully transparent and has very good clarity. There is only slight natural inclusions found upon magnification or close examination. This can be considered near eye clean or SI clarity. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in mint condition.
