Antique geisha porcelain tea sets were primarily manufactured from the late 19th century to the early 1950s, with the majority produced before World War II. These wares continued to be made during the period of Japanese occupation. Items marked "Nippon" generally pre-date 1921, while those marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan" are post-1921. Sets marked "Made in Occupied Japan" date from 1945-1952.
