This roll celebrates Ukraine’s air defenses. Today, Ukraine’s air defenses play an extremely important role in ensuring the security of Ukrainian military and civilian facilities, while also being an essential component of the country’s national security system. Every day since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the air defense forces – which comprise the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Ukrainian Air Force, Ground Forces and Navy; the aviation capabilities and airspace surveillance units of the Ukrainian Air Force; and other air defense units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces – have faithfully and heroically repelled attacks by enemy missiles and drones.
