DESCRIPTION:

 

#1 is an unusual openwork gilded metal from the mid century (1950s) and has a series of wax roses mounted on a bar, 3 ins w x 1 ins h (7.5 x 2.5 cm)

#2 is signed by Adrian Mann, a designer brand name owned by Park Lane Ltd of Knaresborough. Associated with the 1960s and 1970s and the bouffant hairstyles of that era which often sported elaborate hair ornaments. 3 ½ x 1 ½ ins (9 x 4 cm)

#3 is a leopard print barrette with a French spring clip and a leopard design which places it firmly within the 1980s. 4 x 1 ½ ins (10 x 4 cm)

#4 is a natural mother of pearl and made in mid century. 3 x 1¼ ins (7.5 x 3 cm)

#5 openwork celluloid barrette early 20th century. 4 x 1 ¼ ins (10 x 3.5 cm)
