It starts with the different kinds of cushions you can make. “Favourite Shirt” cushions, and patchwork cushions, and then shows you how to take this a step further to make throws and quilts.

The book includes a full-sized sewing pattern, and instructions for making a memory bear, and customising this with embroidery or accessories. 

And finally, it shows you the different ways you can make embroidered patches, and how to insert some of the late person’s ashes into your keepsake, if this is what you want to do.

Suzy has been sewing, as a hobby, for over fifty years. She graduated from Sheffield University in 2000, and since then has had a long career working for various local authorities, and the NHS, mainly with vulnerable homeless people. She retired from this a few years ago and now runs her own successful sewing business where she sews and writes professionally. She hopes, as you work your way through her books, her love for fabric, and sewing, will shine through, and maybe rub off on, and inspire you.
