Description

BETADINE VAGINAL DOUCHE is a vaginal cleansing medication that contains Povidone Iodine 10%. Povidone Iodine is a broad spectrum germicide used to treat vaginitis caused by candidal, trichomonal, non-specific or mixed infections, or as a pre-operative vaginal disinfectant. This item is not recommended for pregnant women.

General Indications

As a vaginal disinfectant. Used to treat symptoms of mild irritation, itching & vaginal discharge caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida albicans & Gardnerella vaginalis.

 Composition

Povidone Iodine 10%

 Dose

Therapy: 30-960 mL betadine in warm water once a day for 6 days.

Routine cleansing efforts: 15-960 mL betadine in warm water 1-2 times/week

 How to use

Fill the provided plastic bottle with solution up to level A (to maintain cleanliness) or up to level B (to treat infections). Add warm water to C level, shake until evenly mixed.

 Attention

Do not use for patients allergic to iodine, pregnant and breastfeeding women. This product has a spermicidal function, it should not be used by women who are planning a pregnancy.
